The veneration of popes (i.e. treating a pope as a saint simply because he is pope and even before he dies) is contrary to Catholic spirituality, ecclesiology, and theology.

This is important for us to understand. When we’re stuck with with someone like Pope Francis, who is arguably more Communist than Catholic, it’s necessary to examine his statements and actions very closely, and to oppose them when they don’t conform to Tradition.
